Recently I overestimated the capacity of how much my guest could eat. That led to having lot of cut paneer pieces (cottage cheese) and bell peppers. Decided to make a starter out of it. This dish is perfect if u don’t feel like cooking too many things for a guest or just want to make one thing for yourself. Easy to make this dish is heavy and so delicious. It’s called yellow paneer which is perfect blend of spicy and cheesy.

Ingredients:

200 g        – Paneer (cottage cheese- cut in cubes)
1 cup        – Bell peppers ( mix – cut in cubes)
1/2            – Onion chop
1/2 tbsp   – Ginger Garlic Green chilly paste (GGG paste)
3/4 cup    – Fresh cream
1/2 cup    – Cheese (grated)
1/2 tbsp   – Tandoori masala
1/2 tsp     – Garam masala ( Ground whole Indian spices)
1 tsp        – Red chilly powder
1/2 tsp     – Turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tbsp      – Chop coriander (Garnish)
Oil as required.
salt to taste.

Method:

Cut Paneer in required sized cube. Dry it using tissue paper. On a pan, Pour 1-2 tbsp oil and let it heat. Put paneer on it. Let it get light brown on all sides. In a bowl, mix fresh cream, cheese and dry masala (tandoori masala, garam masala, red chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt).
In a pan, pour 2 tbsp oil. Let it heat. Put onion and GGG paste. Saute until the onion turns golden brown. Put cream mixture in the pan. Let it come to boil once. Toss paneer and bell pepper in it. Boil one more time. Turn off the flame. Sprinkle chop coriander and serve.

Note:

If you do not want it spicy, decrease the amount of GGG paste and red chilly powder. Do not stir roughly after adding paneer, as it can break the paneer. If you want the bell pepper entirely cooked put it along with onion.

Happy munching! 🥘🍴🍝🍜🍚🍽
