Meat Cakes (Bhopto)

This deliciously healthy protein pack dish is one of my favorite to make. It is very simple and does not need much of preparation to make it. If you are looking for a quick healthy meal, this is the dish for you. This meat cake or as we call it bhopto is a very versatile dish. Eat it directly with a dip or use two meat cakes as burger buns to make burger or put it between bread to make sandwich. Try it out.

Preparation time: 10-15 min

Cooking time: 15-20 min

serves: 4 people

Calorie per serving: 241.45

Ingredients:

400 g – Chicken minced
3 – Egg (or 4 egg white)
1 – Onion (big – chop)
1 tbsp – Ginger Garlic Green chilly paste (GGG paste)
1-2 – Green chilly (chop)
1 tsp – Ginger (chop)
1 1/2 tsp- Red chilly powder
1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tsp – Coriander powder
3/4 tsp – Garam masala (Ground whole Indian spices)
1/2 cup – Coriander chop
Salt to taste.

Method:

In a bowl mix all the ingredients mentioned above. Mix it well with hand. Heat a pan. Put one tbsp of oil on the pan. Now take a ladle and pour the chicken batter on the pan (I poured 1 ladle each). As shown below.

Once it is dark golden brown on one side flip it. When its Dark golden brown on both sides remove it in a plate. Serve hot.

Notes:

After mixing, as a trial make just one. Taste it. Adjust spices and salt according to your requirement. If you want it more spicy add green chilly and red chilly powder.
