
Have a busy sunday out and don’t have time for breakfast or too lazy to do anything then this is the recipe for you. A deliciously healthy breakfast replacing the hassle of cooking something. Easy to carry around in a travel mug. Also quick to make, not too sweet and filling drink to energize your morning.
Preparing time: 5-10 min
Serves: 2 people
Calorie per serving : 600 (approx)
with yogurt and water : 333.15 cal (approx)
Ingredients:
2 tbsp – Chia seeds (dry)
3 – Apple (1 frozen and 2 fresh – I used green apple)
4 scoop – Berry ice-cream (I used raspberry crumble)
1/2 tbsp – Honey
1 1/2 cup – Milk
1 cup – Oats
6-7 – Almonds (optional)
Method:
Take the chia seeds, soak in water for 2-3 hours. Take one apple and freeze it without cutting it. Freeze for 3-4 hours.
Now put everything except chia seeds in a blender. Blend well . Roughly cut other 2 apples. Add it to the blender. Blend until chunky thick smoothie is done.
In a glass put extra honey around the inside edges. Divide the soaked chia seeds in 2 glasses. Put the smoothie in both glasses equally. Enjoy it cold.
Notes:
You can use any fruit you want like banana, peach, pear and berry fruits are some example. If you want it more healthy, replace ice cream with berry flavored yogurt and water with milk.
Freezing fruits has its benefits as like fresh fruits have their own. Do not use all frozen or all fresh fruit. Mix it up that way you get the benefit of both.
