This Fall enjoy this refreshing cocktail/mocktail with delicious orangy flavor. This birthday my friends gave me these gourmet jars of preserves which was amazing. I thought I will try out one of them for this and the cocktail/ mocktail turned out great. As not everyone drinks alcohol on my family this drink is also an amazing mocktail and looks exactly alike. Try it out.
Making time: 5 min
Serves: 2 people
Ingredients:
120 ml – Whiskey/ tequila(optional)
180 ml – Orange juice (fresh)
60 ml – Orange bitters
1 can – Kingfisher radler mint and lemon drink
Few ice cubes.
Orange peel for garnish
For orange bitters:
3-4 – Orange peel (with the white part)
1 1/2 tsp – Mango jalapeno preserve (optional)
2-3 tbsp – lemon juice
1 cup – water
Method:
For orange bitters:
In a pot or a pan, put orange peel along with the white part. Add water. Let it heat. When it comes to boil, add lemon juice. Heat until water is almost less the half of the original quantity.
Put it in a mixer and grind until paste like consistency. Add little extra water and mango jalapeno preserve. Grind again. Strain it. You will get thick juice like consistency. Store it in a bottle and put it in the refrigerator.
For cocktail/mocktail:
In a shaker add orange juice, orange bitters, ice, and whiskey/tequila (optional). In cocktail glass add ice. Pour orange mixer over the ice. Add kingfisher soda on top. Put orange peel for garnish and serve.
Happy boozing!🍊🍹🥃🥂
