Re-discovering things you Love

Hey guys!
Long time no see (which is entirely my fault).
As you guys know cooking is my passion and I love this blog and will love whatever job i get in this field later. At the start of last month I fell horribly sick and had to be on bed rest for a few days. After recovering I was still not feeling like myself. I felt so uninspired to make anything, it made me decide to take a step back temporarily and re-explore other things I love to do .

The point I am trying to make is that while most of us follow the field we love or have passion for (at least I choose to believe that most of us do that) it’s ok to take a step back from it for a while so that your passion and love for your work remains intact. So that it doesn’t start to feel like a duty (you people get what I am saying?)

Take that break that you need.
Go on that trip that’s on the back of your mind for days. Go on that shopping trip and treat yourself (you deserve it). Stay in that comfort of your home with music and read that book you have been planning to for weeks or paint and sketch to your heart’s content. Go on that movie. Go to that place you know u can take amazing photos at. Write that poem/story that’s been forming on the back of your mind. Do it!

It’s ok to have passion/love for multiple things. When we find one thing that we love we stick to it, dive into it, make it our life. But we forget to give ourselves time to enjoy other things and slowly that one thing we found that we love start becoming something that we have to do (kinda like a duty). Its important to find a balance and enjoy multiple thing that you have grown to love as that is what makes you YOU.

I spent a month away from t.v., read a lot of books, went to movies I wanted to see, went to that restaurant to eat that dish I have been craving, started planning a trip for December, painted that picture and got it framed. Did everything which I have been ignoring in thinking what can I cook next to post or what other topic I can address in tipsy talk.
